Aura Optical Systems was originally established with the intent of bringing new technology and innovation to the reflective films and traffic safety market. By collaborating with a few select customers, the company began to develop specific product solutions for several traffic safety applications. However, after a few early successes, it was obvious the company had a much broader set of technical capabilities to offer. Soon, the research and development team of Aura Optical Systems began accepting projects from a wide variety of markets and applications. Today, the company is an innovation leader in a broad range of industries.

In 2007, the company opened a new research and development center in the greater Dallas - Ft. Worth metropolitan area to further broaden its technical capabilities.
